This is goi...Oh, Liz, I know exactly how you feel! This is going to sound very anti-feminist but it's my best advice: You have to train them while they're young. I have had lots of people tell me this and it is very, very true. Just this year, Jonathan and I have reached a point where he does what I ask him to do and sometimes he takes initiative and takes care of things without me asking him to. Evan just needs to know that you will tolerate some things, whereas others are not okay. And pick your battles. Maybe you can live with the ladder being in your way, but you're paying for garbage service so the cans need to go to the curb.
